Dr. Alfred Allen E. Buenafe is an Executive Director of Philippine Center for Advance Surgery (PCAS) and he has an experience of 27 years in field of endoscopic and laparoscopic field. As an authority in the fields, he has been invited as a speaker for International Conventions and Workshops in Basic and Advance Laparoscopy in Europe and Asian countries. He completed Doctor of Medicine from De La Salle University in 1991.His current leadership positions being the president of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia (ELSA), Joint Secretary General of Asia Pacific Hernia Surgery (APHS), Board of Directors of Joint Secretary General of Asia Endosurgery Task Force (AETF) Asia Pacific Endo Laparoscopic Group. He is also the editor of Asian Journal of Endoscopic Surgery (official publication of ELSA).

Prof J.J. Jakimowicz MD, PhD, FRCS, Ed
Jack Jakimowicz is professor Safety in Health care at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at
Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. He is a leading authority in the field of minimally
invasive surgery and an expert on ergonomic applications and new technological developments. His
chair focuses on the quality and safety of medical technology in general and minimally invasive
surgery in particular. The activities of his chair are aimed at expanding collaboration between
hospitals, TU Delft and the medical industry, in the framework of the Medisign programme. It
especially focuses on safeguarding quality, and the safety of medical technology. Jack Jakimowicz is
involved in multiple Medisign projects to create innovative solutions and improve the interaction
between the user and technology; As part of the program, he supervises student projects and
several PhD candidates. In addition to his activities at TU Delft, he puts his experience and expertise
to use as an advisor to the Catharina Hospital's Education and Research department. Jack
Jakimowicz is a member of several national and international surgical societies and past secretary
general as well as past president of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES).
Furthermore he is an honorary member of the Polish Surgical Society and EAES. Currently he is
internal auditor of the executive board of the EAES and chairman of the board of Laparoscopic
Surgical Skills Foundation (LSS).

Daniel B. Jones MD, MS is Professor of Harvard Medical School and Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is Chief of the Division for Bariatric & Minimally Invasive Surgery and Director of the Carl J Shapiro Simulation and Skills Center. He graduated from Cornell University and Weil Cornell Medical School. He completed General Surgery and MIS training at Washington University - Barnes Hospital. Dr Jones is Past President of the Society of American Gastrointestinal & Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) and Past President of the Association for Surgical Education (ASE). He is a trustee for Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT). He is the recipient of the James IV Travel Award, SAGES Medical Leadership Award, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Patient Safety and Quality Award. Dr. Jones has 26 books and over 350 publications.
