Greetings from ISNCON2017!

Dear Colleagues,

On Behalf of Delhi Nephrology Society, It gives us immense pleasure to invite you all for “The 48th Annual Congress of the Indian Society of Nephrology (ISNCON 2017), to be held from 14th - 17th December, 2017 at “Pullman - Novotel Hotel” Aerocity, New Delhi, which is the most technologically advanced and architecturally pleasing Hotel. The conference would have a galaxy of international and national faculty who will share their knowledge and expertise in the field of medical care. Indian Society of Nephrology annual conference is being attended by around 1500 delegates from across the country. Last year about 100 delegates from the neighboring countries attended the conference. Indian Society of Nephrology is affiliated with International Society of Nephrology.

The venue of the conference is Aerocity in National Capital Territory of Delhi. The conference venue is nearer to the International Airport. The ancient city of Delhi has seen seven previous avatars and is reported to be over 2000 years old. Do enjoy its various parks and monuments from different periods in its history ranging from the Mahabharata to include the city of the Mughals, the city of the Raj, and the current modern metropolis well known for its generous nature and its big heart. Do join us at “Dilwalon ki Dilli”.

Message From ISN Governing Body

On behalf of the Indian Society of Nephrology, it is my pleasure to welcome you all to the 48th Annual Conference of Indian Society of Nephrology (ISNCON 2017) which is scheduled to be held from 14th to 17th December 2017 at Aerocity, New Delhi.

This scientific and clinical congress will attract clinical nephrologists and researchers working in the arena of kidney diseases. The scientific programme, incorporates a wide range of pre-conference CME, invited contributions, free paper communications, plenary lectures, symposia, poster sessions and orations and clinic-Pathological session. The scientific committee has planned a comprehensive programme for ISNCON 2017, for this scientific feast which will satisfy your taste buds of knowledge with update in field of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Transplantation.

You all have witnessed in the recent past that Indian Society of Nephrology has deep penetration in leadership at International level. Our own Prof. Vivekanand Jha has been elected as president elect of International Society of Nephrology & Dr. Manisha Sahay as Executive Council Member. You will be happy to know that Indian Society of Nephrology is the largest affiliated society of International Society. It was first time in history of Indian Society of Nephrology, we have great show displaying Ind Soc Nephrology booth in exhibition area of WCN 2017 at Mexico. Delegates from every corner of world who attended WCN, 2017 has felt the presence of Indian Society of Nephrology. Several members of Ind Society of Nephrology are contributing in development and progress of nephrology care across the world.

Last year, we have South Asia Regional Board Meeting at Mumbai, during ISNCON 2016 which has been addressed by President of ISN, Prof. David Harris who himself emphasized the importance of Indian society in growth of ISN. We have also contributed in developing ISN-ANIO-India research committee with 50% contribution from Indian side and one project has been awarded to India. This collaboration has been highlighted in several national and international meeting. It gives me pleasure to inform you that Ind Society of Nephrology has been selected amongst top two bidders from south ASIA for WCN 2020 and fully prepared for final bidding process. On National front, we are all prepared to launch Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) registry which is in testing phase and many centers are entering their data as well.

I hope this ISNCON 2017 meeting will provide a good platform to learn, interact and support educational and research activity of each other. I request all the members of the Indian Society of Nephrology to take active participation in this scientific program with good inter action and healthy discussion. We have bunch of international and national stalwart nephrologists and experienced speakers to further enrich our knowledge.

Our Society has got a rich heritage and reputation in the International arena and I request all the members of our society to make it more vibrant by participating in ISNCON 2017.
